What Drives Us

Our Mission

Uplifting Haitian and immigrant families through housing, legal aid, employment support, and community services—so everyone has a chance to thrive in the U.S.

Our Story

Founded in 20XX to empower Haitian newcomers in Clark County, OH, Haitian Hope Fund began as a small gathering of volunteers offering ESL lessons and free legal clinics. As our needs grew, so did our impact: today, we serve hundreds of families with comprehensive support and faith-driven hope.

What We Do

At Haitian Hope Fund, we believe that true support means showing up for people in practical, holistic, and dignifying ways. Our work is grounded in both compassion and strategy—we meet people where they are and walk alongside them toward stability, independence, and purpose. Here’s a closer look at how we serve:

Legal Aid & Language Support🧾

We help Haitian immigrants navigate the legal system with free or low-cost support for asylum, work permits, and family petitions. We also provide interpretation and translation to ensure our clients fully understand the documents and systems affecting their lives.

Housing & Relocation Assistance🏠

We assist families in finding safe, stable housing—whether it’s emergency shelter or long-term rentals. Our team helps with applications, landlord communication, and transition support to ensure families feel secure and settled.

Job Readiness & Employment Support💼

Our employment services include resume writing, job search help, and interview prep. Through workshops and one-on-one support, we help individuals gain the skills and confidence needed to secure meaningful work.

Social Services Navigation💡

We connect families to healthcare, food, education, and other vital services. Our hands-on guidance removes the guesswork and empowers clients to access help with ease and dignity.

ESL & Educational Empowerment📚

We offer free English classes and help parents enroll their children in school. Our goal is to break language barriers so families can participate more fully in their communities and opportunities.

Faith-Based Encouragement✝️

We serve with compassion rooted in faith. Through prayer, scripture, and a spirit of hope, we walk with families through difficult seasons, offering more than support—we offer spiritual uplift.

Our Impact

Over the past few years, Haitian Hope Fund has become a lifeline for Haitian immigrants and refugees navigating life in the United States, especially in Clark County, Ohio. Our work has reached hundreds of individuals and families in tangible, life-changing ways.

We’ve helped over 350 families secure access to essential services—whether it’s finding safe, affordable housing, applying for immigration documents, or getting connected with healthcare providers.

Through our legal clinics, we’ve assisted with 200+ cases, offering interpretation, form completion, and representation guidance that many of our clients otherwise couldn’t afford or access.

In the area of housing, we’ve successfully helped over 150 individuals and families relocate to stable living conditions, removing them from overcrowded shelters or unsafe neighborhoods and into homes where they can begin rebuilding their lives with dignity.

Our job readiness programs—including resume writing workshops, interview preparation, and job referrals—have helped dozens gain sustainable employment, giving them the independence they deserve.

We also host weekly ESL classes and workshops that empower participants to improve their communication skills, better understand U.S. systems, and integrate more confidently into their communities. Every class and clinic we host brings us closer to our vision: a thriving, self-sufficient Haitian immigrant community rooted in faith, hope, and opportunity

Faith Statement

Inspired by Psalm 91’s promise of refuge and Luke 16’s call to stewardship, we serve with compassion, integrity, and faith—because we believe every family deserves dignity and opportunity.
